What type of birth control is the best?

Hi ladies! I have been on birth control on and off for over 2 years. I’ve been on the depo shot but my doctor told me about 2 other options. He mentioned the IUD and the one that they put in your arm. I was thinking about getting one of those because where it lasts between 3-5 years. Which one would be the best? Have any of you ladies tried one of the two?

I would go with the implant because you wouldn’t have to worry much about it falling out and you don’t have to check for strings. It’s in your arm, less likely to travel and you just feel it.

I have the nexplanon implant and I’m neeeeever using any other birth control again. I tried getting the IUD twice and the first time my cervix wouldn’t open for it to go in, the second it fell out and cut me in soooo many places. 
But I haven’t had any issues with the implant other than having spotting every day since February until like two weeks ago. Now I’ve had a two day long period that was super heavy🤷🏾‍♀️
If you can get past the irregular bleeding, it’s the most effective birth control other than abstinence scientifically and you literally get it inserted and have worry free sex (other than STIs) for three years. I love it because I can really keep track of a timeline. Me and my bf decided after nexplanon round 2, I’m gonna leave it out and we’ll start trying🤗
