Ounces per bottle feeding??

Question

We need to start teaching baby to bottle feed in preparation for daycare. He is EBF so I have noooo idea how many ounces he eats per feed. 
He will be 5 months old on friday. How many ounces do your babies eat per feed and how old are they?

Typically no more than 4oz per feed. Baby should be pace fed to prevent bottle preference and also to preserve your milk supply

Make sure your bottle nipple is a size 0 to mimic the flow of your breast nipple ,  pace feed and it’s 1-1.5 ounces for every hour that you are away. My son drink 80ml (2 1/2 ounces) every 2-2.5 hrs

My son is 5 months this weekend and drinks 6oz bottles 5 times a day. Normally about every 2.5-3 hours. Every baby is different and it’s a trial and error finding out how much they need. One thing to think about, babies are like adults when it comes to feeling full. Sometimes it takes them a minute to realize it and they will fuss right after a bottle because of the delay. Sometimes giving them a good burp and waiting 10-15 minutes to see if they still fuss gives you a good indication on whether they are still hungry or not. Good luck!

I started teaching my February baby in July how to use a bottle. I started with a specific nursing session and offered her 2 oz. most of the time she would refuse it or only take half an ounce. I would then nurse her as usual. A few times I could get her to take a a little bit after nursing. Then one day she drank the two ounces without a fight then I nursed. The next day she drank the two and I filled up the bottle again and she drank another two, I did this one more time and she had a total of 6 oz. I no longer nurse during that timeframe, she gets a 6oz bottle of formula.
It took about two weeks of trying before she would accept the bottle.  I plan on swapping another nursing session soon with a bottle. This will make it easier for both of us when I head back to work and I’m not able to pump as frequently as she nurses.

My boy is almost 5 mo and drinks anywhere from 4oz-8oz. 4-5.5 during day, 6-9 at bedtime and one middle of night feed

My 5.5 month old usually eats 5 oz per bottle feeding. I believe the average is about 25 oz per day, so divide that by the # of times per day you generally feed, and start from there!
