Per chart, period, implantation bleeding, or other?

Hi ladies, I need some advice. I woke up this morning feeling some minor cramping in my lower back and abdomen and bleeding. I am only 8dpo. My luteal phase is USUALLY 13 days. I read that implantation bleeding isn’t that common so I don’t know what to think. Can any of you who are more experienced in these things tell me if this looks like implantation bleeding or is my period coming way too early?

Implantation bleeding is more myth than fact. The physiological process of implantation does not cause vaginal bleeding. It’s a big misnomer.

If your luteal phase is usually 13 days, it's highly doubtful it's your period. Your luteal phase length is very consistent and rarely is more than a day off from your normal length. Sometimes when there's the secondary estrogen surge during the luteal phase you can experience spotting. Even if it's uncommon for you, it can be possible. It's sometimes accompanied by a temporary drop in temperature for that day. Basically, if I were you, I wouldn't worry much at all. Just note the spotting just in case.
