Does anyone else feel guilty when LO is awake and you aren’t holding/interacting with them?

I’m struggling hard with this, I try to put my little man in his swing everyday so I can have my coffee/breakfast. I hate seeing him alone, he’s content just looking around but omg it breaks my heart.. 😣

Guilty, no. Do I feel like "omg you're so cute I want to snuggle you!" Yeah lol. But knowing she is content and able to entertain herself independently is great for me. It actually makes me feel better to know that I can still be "me" while little girl learns to be herself. Baby is happy, mama is happy!

I feel so much guilt . I bring his playmat into the kitchen and he’s perfectly content while I clean but I feel like I should be on the floor with him at least cheering him on. I see a visible difference when I’m there and when I’m not. When I’m with him he’s all smiles and giggles. When I’m not he’s content but just looking around curiously. I’m trying to teach myself a balance. When he’s asleep is when I give myself name time rather than cleaning. I’ll take a shower or play my switch but no matter what the guilt is there. I think it takes some “getting used to”. Just remember that your guilt proves you’re a good momma. What I do is I talk to him while I do things even if he’s in the other room I’ll just tell him what I’m doing “mommas filling the water so she can make herself some coffee”. I’m not sure why but that seems to help too. Sorry this is all over the place.
Sleep deprivation and all that. 
You’re doing good momma don’t be so hard on yourself. I know that’s way easier said than done but try to give yourself some slack. You can message me if you ever want to 💕

I feel slightly guilty, but I also value my sanity 😂. Last night she sat in her swing and my husband and I had dinner together and chatted about non-baby stuff. It was great!

No because occasionaly I need to do things that require both hands. Not that she lets me do it often lol

Maybe do some time on a play mat or tummy time while you watch him so then he’s getting some stimulation while you eat ? Don’t feel guilty! They need some time to play on their own too.

Lol I wish my son was more content without me holding him or talking to him 😂 but I also have a two year old so it’s a lot. I deff felt that with my first though
