LOVE VS IN LOVE? WHATS THE DIFFERENCE ?

Hey ladies ! 
So I was having a debate with someone the other day about the difference of being in love and loving someone? What is your take on this ? What’s the difference ? How to know whether you are in love or just love a person ?

I mean I think it’s subjective. My take is that being “in love” is a feeling. It’s primarily emotional, hormonal, chemical. LOVING someone is a choice, an active choice in your relationship. Choosing to have a positive outlook on said person, seeing the good, wanting them to be the best they can be, wanting them to be happy and healthy. Desiring their good over your own good. Which is very very important and highly underrated. The “feeling” of being in love is far less important but what culture tends to focus on.

I guess I’d say being in love is a deeper connection and definitely more intense. I’m in love with a guy I’ve known forever basically no matter what happened between us I’ve always forgiven him or wanted him by my side I’d say I’m beyond In love with him. But I love my child’s father. There’s no more deep connection however I still care for and love him after all he gave me the best part of my life. If that makes sense?

I’m the type who literally loves everyone like if I spend time with you and actually vibe with you then I love you 😅 if not then I don’t really speak to you 🙈 but being in love is like amazing idk how to describe it but I’m so in love with my husband and sometimes when we argue really bad I feel not in love with him but I still love him as a friend and want better for him so I can’t be mean to him 🤦‍♀️ I’m just like he deserves better than how I’m acting so it makes me better for him but I think love in general is wanting more for someone else than you want for yourself and I don’t mean in a toxic way but like if you are In Love with someone you aren’t concerned with what they can and are doing for you but what you can do for them but of course make sure you aren’t being taken advantage of
