Dentist for baby??

Have any of you taken your baby to the dentist for the first time yet? Can you please share what the experience was like? I feel like my son would have an absolute fit, so very curious to know what your experiences were like!

They brushed his teeth, evaluated his teeth, and talked to me about future things. It was like a 10min apt

I don’t think there’s much point in it til they are 2-3 unless you have a concern

my cousin is a dentist and she doesn't see kids until 4/5 or so, unless there's a concern

New recommends are to take them as soon as they get a tooth.   When we took her, they brushed her one little tooth told her how cute she was, gave me a finger toothbrush to use, and sent us on our way.   It's mostly to educate parents about good dental hygiene and to start good habits early.

They recommend taking them as soon as they start getting teeth.. but I didn’t take my son until he was 1 1/2 because he had an abruption cyst on his motor coming in.. it looked like a chunk of his gum flapped over the tooth coming in.. says it happens and come back in 6 months to see if it goes away. They did put fluoride on his teeth and tried to brush his teeth but he wouldn’t let them. In total was about 10 mins in the chair.

We went at a year old so that he is established in case anything happens. They brushed his teeth and went over basic hygiene. It was super easy!

We were going to take our daughter, but it was like 200 bucks because we didn't have her on our insurance. So we're going to wait until next year when we can put it on our insurance and they'll pay for it and not come out of our pocket. Haha
