I figured out the right dose!

I have been introducing my grandmother to edibles since she’s been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.

Made some pot brownies but it was for severe pain, she found that it was too strong during the day. I had no idea what the dose of THC in those were so I got a bunch of gummies from the dispensary and cut them into little pieces. See, I know SOME because in highschool I was a pot head. I know how to get high. I just didn’t know how to manage daily pain with edible THC and what dose would do what.

This whole morning she was just in so much pain, and I’m starting to think the mass on her pancreas is pushing on things because she says she feels it in her back.

She took her (pain killers) opioids and it didn’t do anything, as it usually doesn’t. She just rolled around and howled.

And I told her “whenever you want the gummies, just let me know. I promise that I won’t get you too high that you’re not able to think straight but I also promise that it will help your pain.” And I told her that I’ve been reading up on it and specifically chose the strain indica because its known for pain relief and was just like trust me, it will be different than the brownies.

She said okay, she was so sad at this point because of the pain and was so nauseas. She has become really weak and I just sat beside her. I waited a few hours with her, finally She said “okay I want to try the gummies.”

So I took the gummy out and cut its little arm off (lol the gummies are in the shape of little men) and gave it to her. I figure that would be about 10 mg. An hour later she’s a totally different person y’all she has energy she is talking to me about all sorts of things and hasn’t said a word about pain or nausea and actually ate some real food she says she has NO PAIN

And I’m actually crying

Oh boy I’ve been emotional lately but it’s hard watching someone you love go through cancer
