Is it possible to get highlights like this with my black box dyed hair??

I’ve been box dying my hair blue black for years and I love it but I want to do something fun with it, I still want to keep the super black hair but add really blonde highlights. Are the salons able to do this? My hair isn’t damaged, it’s super thick and in great condition. I don’t want the hair stylist to not let me get this done because of my box dye. ☹️ this is what I want:

If youve been using box dye for years, your hair is definitely damaged. 
And this is something that would need to be done over multiple sessions. Id go into a salon and ask them to do a strand test.

It’s going to take a few sessions to get it to go that blonde. Box dye isn’t like the dye they use in the salon. I went to a salon to get the same look and my hair didn’t lighten much. It turned an caramel color instead of blonde but I knew that was going to happen because she said I was going to need several sessions to get the dark brown up.

Is it possible to get highlights like this with my black box dyed hair??
