How many bottle brands should I buy & how many total bottles should I get?

I am currently 13w+4 days pregnant. I’ve actively been making registries and this is my first baby. I plan to breastfeed and transition baby to bottle feeding, however I plan to pump instead of formula feed. My best friend has a 2 year old and she told me I should at least have 3 bottle options. I’ve picked them out but I don’t know if 3 is too many or what.. please help!

My first liked Dr Brown and these (before he preferred the breast and started refusing the bottle 😅) my second now seems like he doesnt like Dr Brown, but he does like these ones. Hes also mostly breast fed and only has a bottle of pumped milk on rare occasions

I didn’t register or buy any before baby was born because I got so many in all the free sample boxes. I got evenflo, avent natural, dr browns, a few others I can’t think of. I got a sample mam (with their slowest flow nipple) with some nursing bras. That’s the one baby girl ended up liking the best

Honestly, I just get the free bottles given in registries to start with.  Try those out and go from there.  That way you don’t spend a whole lot of money buying bottles your little may not even like.  Good luck momma!

My kids have loved the mam bottles. But honestly I wouldn't buy any. Target, Walmart, and Amazon usually all have bottles in their registry gift bags. I used those while we figured out which one baby liked the most. And I didn't have to spend money on ones I want going to use.

My son is formula fed. I use these.
2 is enough for us. Since they’re glass they’re easier to wash out than plastic.
But if you’re not picky about glass vs plastic someone already mentioned you can get a lot of different kinds of bottles for free in sample packs that they give out at target, Walmart, buybuybaby, amazon, babylist. I would try those out before buying a whole set

We love our boon bottles. The inserts are silicone and cleaning them is a breeze! Also traveling is amazing since you can pack the nipple and insert and only need one “shell” 
As the baby drinks, the silicone insert collapses helping reduce the amount of air
