Has anyone Dr written them out of work yet?

My back pain is excruciating and i drive and hour to work and back every day and sit at a desk all day. I can’t put my feet up or anything. It’s killing me. I literally struggle through each day every day. It’s so miserable. I’m thinking about asking my doctor to write me out or something? Anyone else? Do you think he would do it?

My doctor told me just to tell her when I’m ready and she will write me out... I’m thinking mid August

My doctor wrote me a note 2 days ago saying that she wanted me to stop working at 35 weeks and no later than 37 weeks. I will likely go to 37 weeks because I don’t get very much time for maternity. I I’m 33 weeks now and I go back to work (education) in a week and a half.

My doctor wrote me off work in March and doesn’t want me to go back until 6 weeks after baby is born. That wasn’t the plan, but she doesn’t feel comfortable sending me back to work because of my high risk pregnancy.

I got taken off at 14 weeks due to a pre-existing health condition. It never hurts to ask. I think you’re far enough along that most doctors won’t even have an issue or think twice about it

If you’re hurting that much, I would ask. My dr wants me out minimum two weeks early for covid reasons. She said she would write me a letter saying I shouldn’t be working now too if I was uncomfortable with being at work right now. Dr’s are there to help. Ask!

My OB is writing letters to support working from home whenever possible for covid. I would think if your pain and comfort levels are impeding your ability to work that they could write you out early.

Nope. I’m pretty sure I’m the “easiest” patient my doctor has right now 😂😩 the normal 15-30 minutes the appointments normally take are like 5 minutes tops. I luckily haven’t had any complications however I would kill for a parking pass at this point. We’ve been in extreme heat advisories for well over a week now and though I don’t go out much, getting close parking is impossible now a days.
