When did you stop rocking your baby to sleep?

Currently my son is 10 months old and he still wants me to rock him to sleep. Is that bad? Is he getting too old or is it normal! Thank you!

My girl is almost 15 months and I still rock her. She’s my baby once. When they grow up I wouldn’t be able to do these things anymore. This is just my personal opinion

We never started because I knew if we got to this point it would either make me crazy or break my heart (or both!) We rock her on occasion, but had to make a point not to regularly rock her to sleep or feed her to sleep.  Hugs to all of you trying to move beyond it! ❤

You do you momma. There was always be people telling you when to stop something. Or how to parent. My MIL always makes snide comments about my three year old co sleeping with us. I will move her to her bed with we are both ready. rocking your baby isn’t harmful to its health. They are only little for so long. If it’s not interfering with things and you are both happy, I don’t see any harm.

My dusghter suddenly didn't want me to around 10-11 months and showed me she wanted to go to bed. She didn't calm down the same way with me rocking with her. Now I kind of miss it 😅

She’ll probably let you rock her to sleep as long as she wants to be rocked to sleep. I didn’t want to rock my child to sleep for ever and ever, so I didn’t once I was able to put her down drowsy but awake. It’s up to you. Some people love the cuddles (I do too), but I wanted my daughter to be independent with her sleep, and she’s been able to fall asleep on her own since about 4 months. And yes, it is totally normal for a 10 month old to still be rocked to sleep.

My son is 19 months old and I still rock him to sleep every night. I wouldn’t if it took a long time but he goes to sleep fairly quickly and then I hold him for 20-30 min before laying him down. 
You do whatever you want! You’ll have people tell you to stop because they’ll always want it and won’t ever put themselves to sleep. You’ll also have people to tell you to rock them every night. My grandma thought you shouldn’t let a baby cry and should rock them for nap time and bedtime. 
It also depends on the kid. Some kids won’t stay asleep if you rock them and lay them down.
