need help asap !!

so basically there was this guy i’ve gotten so close to and we’ve been seriously talking. then all of the sudden he started ignoring me and we lost our heart on snap and he’ll take forever to respond. should i just leave him on read and not talk to him again or should i wait a little while and respond and if so, how long should i leave him on delivered for ??
