Give me a writing idea!

There are some really good writing prompt generators out there, I would suggest going to one of those. My husband used to give me some random ideas, I actually wrote a pretty good short story with one. The prompt was "saving the princess, with a twist". Feel free to use that one if an idea strikes your fancy

Something I do as a writing exercise is take a line from another book (works best if you just flip to a random page of a book you haven't read so you have little to no context) and start my snippet with that. See where it takes you. Eventually, read the book and see what you had in common.

When in doubt think of a story or fairy tale you like a switch the genders
