Ovulation Pain or Ovarian Cyst?

Hi,
   So I got my period for the first time on July 2 until July 6 and recently I’ve been having some dull pains in both ovaries, along with off and on sharp pains on my right ovary. Do I have a cyst?

When I got my first cyst, we discovered it in a CT scan I had because the doctor thought I may have had appendicitis. Low and behold, just an excruciating ovarian cyst. Point of the story being that cysts typically concentrate pain in only the ovary they inhabit and it is extremely uncomfortable, especially when it bursts. If you find yourself bending over with pain in your ovary, its probably a cyst. If it is a duller, general pain, its probably cramps. Either way, the only thing to do is take painkillers. Take all the pills you need girl!

How old are you? This could just be cramps (they present in a lot of ways) and if you’re not used to them they can feel strange. I would ask your PCP but it sounds like just cramps to me. Don’t worry!! Try some ibuprofen and a heating pad.
