Going out with baby ?

Question

Any moms started going out with baby other than pediatrician appointments? Like to parks, outdoor dining restaurants , stores, family members house , etc. 
My baby is almost two months and I’m worried about taking him out. Our state is reopening back up and I wouldn’t Mind getting some fresh air and feeling normal again.

Jeez i feel like a bad mom, my daughter is 2 months old. She goes everywhere we need to go, parks, stores, restaurants and family members houses. As long as no strangers are close to her and obviously aren’t touching her i think its okay. We cant just hide from reality and germs, or these children will never build immune systems. Although we obviously take our precautions when in public, wearing masks using hand sanitizer ect.

The extent to being outside is ya walking to the end of the block and back.  It’s still bad in my area. There was a 26 day old baby that got it in a town that’s outside the city I live it and I’m not willing to take that risk 😬

We only go on walks or car rides. My mom lives with me so she has been around the baby and I go to my in-laws house a few times but that’s it. But even that has only happened twice and they do not work or do anything. I want to go back to normal and go out to eat or something but I refuse to take the risk 😔

So far I took him to Walmart while I was food shopping but had the car seat cover on the whole time and today we went out to eat but I had the car seat cover on

We go for walks, go for a drive on occasion, and visit close family. (My parents, my aunts....only people who I know have been staying home as much as possible and have been following the necessary guidelines) We will be visiting a close group of friends (5 or 6 people) next weekend. Every one of us has been tested for covid (various reasons across the board) and not one has been positive and we are all insanely diligent about following the guidelines. So yes, we take baby "out," but only to places and to see people we are confident are "safe."

We’ve gone out to eat a few times. Each time he has stayed in his car seat, I feed him before we go in and he stays pretty content.

I am in NY we started reopening 5/26 we got his the worst first so I am not worried about it as much as I was when I was pregnant, but we have gone to tons of family gatherings and friends houses usually every weekend we go somewhere but we do also do a lot of appts haha I have my 6 week check up today, but we have had 4 peds appts and 1 ob appt and lotss of telehealth appts

We're going to downtown Disney today.  It's a huge open area,  and not very crowded since they're controlling the number of people so it'll be nice to just walk around. We went last week too.
Other than that we haven't really been out.  My son does all my errands and grocery shopping,  we've taken baby on a few car rides just to get her used to the car seat so it's not such a huge fight later

We visit my mom regularly, I’ve had to go into a store once, my oldest goes to his dads so we have to travel 35 minutes one way for drop off, we have gone to local walking areas, we plan to go to the beach soon. Overall we are cautiously venturing out however, I live in Maine with the lowest Covid rates.
