OTC Acid Reducer

My husband recently lost his insurance due to switching jobs. He usually would take a prescribed acid reducer daily, but due to the lack of insurance we have ran out of his medication. Does anyone have any recommendations of an acid reducer that is OTC and close to prescription strength?

What does he usually take. Almost every prescription acid reducing medicine is available OTC. He just needs to find the brand name. The only downfall is that it is expensive. Depending what it is, he is probably better of still filling his prescription and using GoodRX.

Gaviscon liquid antacid has been amazing for me. I get REALLY BAD acid reflex with my pregnancies and was on prescription strength famotidine with my son, but this pregnancy I’m not. I’m just using this and it’s AMAZING. Works better than Tums, Pepcid, Mylanta and my prescription strength I took. It’s also only $12 bucks at Walmart, but I couldn’t find it on their website to link in.
