How often do you bathe your baby?

Asking because at the hospital they told me once a week but I think now that she is 6 weeks she needs it more often

Depends on the baby/weather etc. they always have some form of a bath every night for bedtime routine, whether sponge bath or an actually bath with soap (usually 3x a week with soap in summer 1/2x a week in winter). Winters here in Serbia get to minus 24 Celsius so to prevent the baby getting a cold they don’t have much actual bath baths. But, in saying that, I have been told that they should be having some form of a bath just to wipe any dirt/germs etc. away. Also it’s a good way to bond with the baby, cause they get a massage with lotion and you spend special alone time with them. I’ve been taught this by my late grandmother who lived to 99 and a half and had 5kids, I also like to mix the old school care with the modern since every baby is different you need to try a multiple things until you find what works for you.

AAP recommends 3x a week until their 1st birthday, so that’s what we do. Between the baths we do sponge baths. 
This is our fourth and it’s what we have done with all prior kids.

Mine gets a bath every night as part of our nighttime routine. I don’t wash his hair or use soap except for once or twice max per week. He’s about to be 6 weeks and I had done the same for my first baby.

I give mine a bath every other day unless on our “off” day she is spitting up a lot (she has bad reflux). She has really dry skin so I do apply lotion everyday.
