Do I have a hormonal imbalance?

Rebekah

So, I’m a 19 year old female and I’m pretty sure I have a hormone imbalance. My aunts and grandmother all have thyroid problems, except my mother. My one aunt has Hashimoto’s and the other has Graves’ disease. (I found out a few months ago my dad had graves as a child.) I never thought to get tested because i figured since my mom didn’t have it, then neither would I. Wrong.

I have always been a hairy girl. My mom said I was born with facial hair that you could literally brush (baby brush lol). It all fell out but I am still hairy. I’ve always had dark-hairy arms and legs. My dad is super hairy so I’m pretty sure that’s just a genetic thing. Now, I have dark hairs that grow under my chin. It’s to the point I pluck them all of the time because they’re so dark and make me super insecure. I also have super dark and long hairs on my happy trail, along with way more than “normal” butt hair. I shave all of the time. It’s super embarrassing to me.

I also suffer from horrible anxiety and before starting birth control, I had severe crippling period cramps. I have also always suffered from constipation but have never been to a gastroenterologist to get myself diagnosed. (I’ve never been referred by my PD.) I got tested 3 different times in 2018 for Thyroid problems and they all came back abnormal. I was referred to an endocrinologist but I moved states and didn’t go. A few months ago, i got tested again at my own request but it came back normal. I feel like I have a lot of signs of a hormone imbalance and have had abnormal results, but somehow that one came back normal? I’m confused and honestly would like to get it solved. Especially if it’s something that could help my anxiety.
