So my baby is almost 4 months old. I had 2 family members have babies pretty close to him. One is one day younger than him, the other is two months older. The one that’s a day younger than him is already sitting up by himself, and the older one was already holding his own bottle by 4 months old. I feel like my baby is so behind he can’t sit up on his own and doesn’t hold his own bottle. Lately he won’t even be still enough for me to prop it on the blanket. I hate holding his bottle. My grandparents feed him holding his bottle and I feel like that’s why he can’t do it yet since they baby him so much. I just don’t know why my baby is so behind it makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong. His cousins are so advanced and he isn’t . His dr said he was advanced for his age but I’m starting to think he isn’t because he’s slower than his cousins 😭 I hope he doesn’t have issues like I did...

& to everyone talking shit to me for not holding his bottle, my son is nearly 14 pounds and my arm gets tired from holding his bottle on the rare occasions that I do. me and my cousin both have propped up our sons bottles since they were about 1 month old and nothing has ever happened to them from that so.. im gonna continue propping his bottle so that he will learn that I’m not gonna hold it for him. It’ll encourage him to learn on his own. Everyone parents differently and I’m pretty sure y’all arent perfect parents either . I’m just worried about my sons development since he does seem kinda behind to me.
