Are orgasms during delivery are real???

I'm expecting my first.And all I hear about this,  that it is going to be painfull..but have any of you felt unconventionally??

You are not being weird. While it is rare, women could have orgasms while giving birth. Women who learn to accept the pain and ride the waves of contractions are able to relax and learn to enjoy that pain which in turn can get them into a euphoria that can cause an orgasm, especially if they have their partner stimulating their breasts or kissing intensely. The stimulation and kissing is a natural pain reliever, just like they say sex is good for relieving cramps. It's very neat. I'm having a natural water birth, so I've been reading as much as I can on natural pain relievers and techniques and I actually just got done reading about it lol I don't know that I will get to an orgasm, which is not my goal anyways, but I sure will need some natural pain relievers.

It does happen to some women! Some women also have births with little to no pain. I think it has a lot to do with your perspective going into things!

I've heard of it before so you're not being weird at all...giving birth is more uncomfortable than painful at least to me I went natural and enjoyed my experience, but everyone is different.

I'm a midwife and I've seen it happen. Not often, maybe twice? But it can happen. It's all about pressure and position I think. My mom had it with two of us and my sister did with her first.

They are completely real. The same hormones that are responsible for pain relief in the body are the ones responsible for all those wonderful feelings after sex. Labor takes practice and preps work, and not enough women focus on that when they are pregnant.
