Did your baby roll by 8 weeks old?

Question

Asking because someone mentioned that you should stop swaddling at 8 weeks old because most babies roll by then. I thought this was totally off. I thought it to be very rare for an 8 week old to be rolling over on a consistent basis. 
My son is 10 weeks old and does not even try to roll yet. His cousin just started rolling at 3 1/2 months and we all thought he was an early roller.
But I decided to come here with a poll to see how many people’s babies have actually rolled by 8 weeks old. 
Btw my son is still swaddled at 10 weeks with no issues. We will stop swaddling when he rolls over.

My son started rolling at 6 weeks old. My daughter was a good bit older though. Every baby is different

She technically did, more than once, back when she was still underweight. But when she started gaining weight she couldn't anymore until she was older haha. I'm glad she did it in front of my father and husband because otherwise people would probably think I was crazy haha

Around 4 months is when most children start to be able to roll from their tummy to back, and by 6 months they should be able to roll over either direction. You might find a child that does it sooner, but it isn’t expected for a baby to roll over until about 6 months.

Just try to forget the number and stop swaddling whenever your baby starts rolling! Could be 3-4 months! It’s normal 🤗 and enjoy being able to still swaddle him while you can!!

I was told no more swaddling with arms in at all when my second was born.

I think it's the earliest they can, but between 3-6 months is normal. My son was doing it at 3 months, however he could break out of a swaddle at 1 month even when my nurse in law did it. We used a sleep sack after that

The AAP website recommends to stop swaddling at 8 weeks. I started getting my baby out of the swaddle at 8 weeks and he was totally out of it by 10 weeks. He didn’t roll until he was 8 months old lol

Mine would roll onto her side starting the day we got home from the hospital and would roll front to back starting at 4 weeks.
