Frustrated🙄

So my husbands name is William David. His fathers name is William Dango. His fathers name is William Bill... we have a William Dalas (I wanted to do 1 “L”, I think it’s cute!) but here’s the family dilemma.. my husband doesn’t want to quit the first name as William thing. There’s like no convincing him. I don’t understand. He has his first William which is our first born. I have tried to convince him to name this LO Liam or even use David as a first name to see if he would even consider and it’s just not working. I have a name that I like- Miles, and I absolutely love it. Can’t think of a middle name but I think Miles David sounds good and I almost convinced him but now he says he doesn’t like the name Miles😔

I think it is because my husbands father and my husbands Grandpa only had 1 boy so he just feels the need to have this one William as well. I just don’t think I can live with myself with having 2 Williams as in sons names. I don’t see against it but I just don’t like it.

For reference, I call my husband William and my son Dalas.

What do I do??!! How can I convince him? Have you ladies ever went through this before?

Update: THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH LADIES!!! Y’all convinced him and showed him it wasn’t normal to name 2 kids the same😂 After he read the comment about the kids need their own identities and the comment about how no one in the world thinks that is even close to normal, he finally got it through his head!! He looked up names with me last night and we agreed on 2 names.. Philip and Salem. He was so quick to pick those 2 out as well so I was going to say to him like... why did you even argue with me?😡😂 So again, THANK EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO COMMENTED!
