We used Motrin at night and Tylenol during the day. Motrin seems to last a little longer

Both. I use ibuprofen at night because it lasts longer. Alternate them throughout the day and just make sure that you’re timing it so you can give the ibuprofen at bedtime.

Motrin lasts longer and does a better job with fevers.  You have to make sure they have food in their stomach when you give it otherwise they we will get a tummy ache. 
If it is just teething pain with no fever I give Tylenol, but if there is a fever I will give motrin.
