COVID concerns

How are people doing with newborns and visiting family and friends?

My husband and I did serious quarantine during my pregnancy because if he got sick he couldn’t come into the hospital with me. Now with our 3 week old he’s getting super sick of quarantine and wants to do stuff (like have friends from out of state visit) but I’m paranoid about exposing her to people until she’s out of the newborn stage at 2 months. Mostly because the docs said they treat newborns with a fever more intensely than babies and they would likely have to go to the NICU for observation. I just don’t want to deal with that so I’m not letting anyone really see her. But my husband is giving me shit about it and acting like I’m being too over protective. I think he’s just tired of covid and that’s totally fair but I just want to wait until she’s not a newborn.

What are you guys doing? Am I being too cautious?
