Otteroo?? Yes or no?

Has anyone used the otteroo? Baby is 11 weeks and was thinking of getting it because he loves the water and loves to splash in it. I thought he would enjoy the otteroo but I’m a bit on the fence about it.

I have one, my daughter loves it! She has never seemed to be uncomfortable at all and recently has really gotten into the kicking and splashing phase lol. However we only use it in the tub and only when i am right in the tub with her, usually with at least one hand on or near her just in case 😊 for us its becoming the special ‘mommy and me bathtime’ thing 🥰.

Would you hold your baby round their neck with your hands even with their body in the water? Also the damage that can be done to their soft little necks ect if they were to make a sudden movement, which babies do alot, can be awful.

I've read some scary things about them. How they can deflate and babies have drowned. Lots were recalled but I don't trust them.

Why not just buy one of those rings with the floaties that they can sit in? Having a tube around a babies neck doesn’t seem safe

I’ve been wondering the same thing, it looks fun but I wonder if it’s bad for their necks/heads. It Also kinda uncomfortable but the babies do seem like they love it

We have one, we don’t use it a lot. But he loves it when we do. I never leave him a lone and usually still keep my hands on him just Incase.

There was a lady on here that posted about her son loving his. If you can find the post then maybe you could try and message her. I just think it looks weird being around just their head and looks uncomfortable

I’m considering it as well, a friend of mine/her baby loves it. I read it’s advised to wait until the baby is four months old, so waiting a bit and will see whether we still like the idea (my little one is 12 weeks old)
