Thoughts on the name Max for a girl?

What are your thoughts on Max, which I believe can be gender neutral, for a girl? I think it’s kinda cute but curious if it’s going to elicit a negative response.

Just got my maternity 21 results and found out I’m having a lil girl. Thought it would be a boy and really wanted to name him Max. I think it would work for a girl too though!

A friend of mine just named her baby girl max. I think it is adorable!! My sister is naming her baby girl James and I’m obsessed. I love “boy” names for girls.

I love it!! I named my little girl Randell. We call her by her first and middle, Randell Ann. 
You have to go with what you like vs. what others think. I got / still get so many responses. Some good, some bad. But my husband and I love it and that’s all that matters!

My 6 year old boy is named Max, I couldn’t imagine him being anything else! BUT be prepared. Everyone and anyone is going to ask you the stupid question “Is it just Max? Not short for anything? Not Maxwell or anything?”
Ugh.
If I had a buck for everytime people have asked me that.. I’d have enough for a dinner from benihanas lol

Personally (no offense anyone) but I am not a fan of taking boys names and using them for girls. It slims the already smaller pickings for what is out there for boy names.
