So with my first pregnancy I delivered at 37.5 weeks after my water broke and not dilated at all. I gave birth within 12 hours and didn't have painful contractions until I was 7 cm dilated at which point I asked for an epidural and didn't have time to get it as baby cam so fast.

This pregnancy i started dilating a 35 weeks. So my doctors and I thought this baby would come early again. However I made it past 39 weeks. At 39 weeks I was 5 cm dilated and got a sweep. 5 hours later I went into labor and when I got to the hospital I was a 7. My contractions were not very painful but I wasn't missing the epidural this time. So I got the epidural and doctor broke my water. A couple hours later the nurse had me do 2 practice pushes and the baby almost came out so she called for the doctor. But before the doctor could catch him he slipped out onto the bed. One mini push and the rest of the body came out. I had horrible tears and I'm 7 days pp and just now can walk short distances without crying in pain. We got a suprise that baby Corey had one regular ear and one tiny ear. I still think he is perfect! We have a lot of specalist appointments to learn more but I am happy and in love with my little guy. I call it his Nemo ear and my 9 year old sister said it makes him even cuter!

Now we are at the ENT and Audiologist to find out about his hearing and to learn about Microtia (tiny ear).
