Is anyone doing Elective Induction ? Like your having a perfectly healthy pregnancy but are choosing when to be induced ?

I did for my first daughter and it was a wonderful experience! Easy labor and delivery. Would love to do it this time around, but due to a family situation we need for this little lady to stay put as long as possible.

I had a coworker voluntarily be induced at 39 weeks for no reason. She was in the hospital with painful contractions for over 24 hours and sent home and they tried again a week later. She regrets it.
My friend was induced a couple days before 40 weeks and spent 2 full days in labor. 
IMO OBs are csection and induction happy. Just let it come naturally or try vaginally unless necessary.
My husbands friends doc wanted a c section when she was in labor but they asked if they could keep trying a little bit longer and she had a normal natural birth.

I was induced at 38w5d with my first. I had borderline high bp and my OB thought my baby was already 9-9.5 lbs. She turned out to be 7lb 7oz. 
My induction was an amazing experience. I did get an epidural and I got it shortly after they broke my water. Induction started at 6am. I was ready to push 7hrs later. And she was born an hr later.
I haven't actually asked my OB this go around about being induced, as my BP has been a little lower/nothing he's ever even brought up. But I've been told that they'll do it at 39w if it's not your first. I'm definitely leaning towards it. Especially now with a toddler who isn't allowed at the hospital at all and my husband can't come and go - he either has to stay for the whole duration or he can't come back and he can't be replaced. If we planned an induction and baby didn't come naturally before then, planning on a sitter would be way easier. Yayyyy covid.

My sister in law had a normal pregnancy, doctor convinced her to be induced at 39 weeks and she was in labor for 33 hours and she regrets it to this day. I’m not saying this is the case for everyone, but I would avoid inducing unless medically necessary.

We may choose to induce at 39 weeks because of baby’s size. But no complications with baby or pregnancy.. yet. 8 more weeks to go until 39 weeks 😬

Choosing to have another c section, so I will have that at 39 weeks. Not an induction, but choosing to go early. My doc doesn’t think I would be able to deliver vaginally based on the way my cervix is and the complications I had last time. I had contractions 4 minutes apart for 3 days and even with pitocin, I couldn’t progress pass 7cm. I’m choosing not to go through that crap again. C section recovery sucks, but I’m also afraid of trying a vbac. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll be induced at 39 weeks for medical reasons. I’m on a daily blood thinner injection and we need to make sure it’s out of my system in time for delivery.

Nope. I had to be induced with my last pregnancy for medical reasons and I was in labor for 24 hours. It was terrible. I have to be induced this time for medical reasons and I’m hoping baby comes on her own before I get induced 😭😬😫

Nope. 
The only reason I was induced with my first was because I was 41 +5 days and my stomach was absolutely a mess itchy, hurt, couldn't stretch anymore 😆 
But this time if I don't need to be induced I don't want to!
