Do I have a right to be upset?

I ask my boyfriend to call me or at least text me before he leaves work. He never does. I asked him specifically tonight not to forget make sure he calls before he leaves work so he’s not texting and driving or whatever. I get a call from his friend maybe 30 minutes or so after saying he’s been arrested. I was like “how the hell did he get arrested I didn’t even know he left work” so apparently it was for the weed vape cartridges. I am obviously pissed off! We only have one car and he didn’t have the decency to tell me he was going to his “friends” house at 11 o clock at night. Fucking asshole man. Probably didn’t call or text for a reason.
