Baby hair growth?

For some reason my sons hair hasn’t grown. In fact I think it’s getting thinner? Am I doing something wrong? He’s 8 months, and no teeth, no hair growth. Idk i feel bad like I’m doing this wrong bc every baby I see has teeth now and their hair is growing and thick

Any recommendations for black baby hair? I know it doesn’t look like it but im for sure he’s going to have kinkier hair at some point and I want to use good products that won’t dry it out. I haven’t been doing anything to it so far bc... well there’s barely any hair
