How do you feed baby?

Tell me your successes and struggles with it all!

My baby is 3 weeks. He is breastfed now but we did have to give him some formula the first week. In the hospital he latched great and had a lot of dirty diapers so we didn’t think there was a problem. The first night my baby ate for 6 hours straight switching boobs every 15 minutes. After my nipples were bruised and bleeding and my baby would not stop crying I called in the nurse. My baby had a tongue tie that prevented him from getting milk despite his latch being great. After cutting the tongue tie he began cluster feeding so I had to continue feeding him every 30 minutes on my bleeding and bruised nipples. 😫 We used a sns to formula feed him while at the nipple for the first week. 
Once my milk came in we realized I have a fast let down. My Hakka collects 2-3 oz in less than 5 minutes on the breast I’m not feeding on.  My baby began choking on milk minutes into eating,  pulled away and no longer wanted to eat. I had to start feeding him while I lie on my side or back or my milk drowns my baby.  
We have been giving him bottles this week of expressed breastmilk and he’s starting to get better at taking them. I still feed him at the boob but because I have to lie down Im really excited about the convenience of a bottle.

Breastfeeding was going great for us this time round but the last few days my daughter has had frothy poop (caused by too much fore milk and not enough hind milk). Trying to find a solution to that is a bit difficult because she is feeding pretty much textbook at this point, I think I may just produce more foremilk than average. I found with my son I didn't have very fatty hind milk and was hoping to have fattier milk this time but apparently no such luck!

I’ve been EBF since my daughter was born and hoo boy has it been something. She’s a very fussy baby and initially we thought she was going through an early growth spurt after she got passed cluster feeding. It was to he point where she was latched for up to 2.5 hours then would demand more from a bottle. I was struggling to even find the time to pump or even save anything at all.
Our pediatrician/LC helped us develop a feeding schedule which is working much better. Baby is still fussy when she’s not eating, sleeping, or being held, but feedings are much better.
