Slow HCG, Miscarriage, Progesterone
Okay guys: I have a history of miscarriages. I’ve gotten pregnant last month, unfortunately after my first HCG doubled (110 to 256), the next day I had some red bleeding, spotting. The next level was then (72 hours later) 296. So, I accepted that this is a miscarriage/blighted ovum, or ectopic. But this time I desperately want them to get the tissue to sample. I’ve been brown/pink spotting since.
Well, instead of an ultrasound they scheduled me for more bloodwork. It came back 376. This is almost a week later now and still hasn’t close to doubled. I feel like it’s obviously a miscarriage and at this point it’s just depressing, but instead of discussing tissue retrieval or anything they prescribed me 100mg of Endometrin (note my progesterone levels were good when measured a week ago).
Then they told me to think happy thoughts and good luck.
I mean, is there any chance? The nurse is not acting like this is a miscarriage or ectopic, but how could it not be? Bleeding and levels crawling upwards over a week? I ovulated 7/8.
My partner says maybe there is hope, but I think they’re just trying not to deliver bad news over the phone.
Am I right, or have there been success stories?
