Hi mama's, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, just looking for some advice or to see if anyone is going through a similar stage.

My son will be 17 months in two days, he has been super clingy this past week. I can barely leave the room without a tantrum, bathroom breaks are a full blown crying fest (he's in the washroom with me), he wants to be picked up but put down and then picked up again, if I'm cooking he's at my feet crying etc.

For the most part, the crying and clinginess doesn't get to me but some times it feel like I can barely breathe😂.

Is this a phase? Leap? I'm just looking for some peace while I go to the washroom or cook a meal!
