How old was your baby when you let them stay with your partner/coparent?
My daughter is almost 2 months old. She’s getting her shots tomorrow. Me and her father coparent. He stays with his family. The thing is that it’s a pandemic and her shots do not protect against COVID. They all work (prison, trucker, stores). They feel like since she has her shots I should bring her over there. They live almost an hour away and they’ve only come to see her in the comfort of her own home once. Have even only checked on her once. Not that it’s tit for tat bc I would bring her just so that she doesn’t grow up wondering why I didn’t. I guess long story short, I just feel like she’s way too young for that right now. She’s breastfed as well. I don’t store milk because it’s hard to disrupt her schedule. Opinions or thoughts or even advice on this would be so appreciated!! Is it even my legal right to say “no”. Idk. This topic gets me so anxious. Literally the thought irks me. I feel like it’s so inconsiderate to even ask me to bring her that far during these times when they haven’t even given an effort to see her or even ask about her but once especially.
