Are there symptoms before missed period??

I just started to conceive and very impatient I know it's not very easy but I haven't missed my period yet and wanted to know if anyone has gotten symptoms before actual missed period?

Before I missed my period I had baaaad food cravings like chips & French onion dip. Heartburn. And I had a lot of white discharge. Also I had what I thought period cramps.
