What side effects did you have after ending BC?

I just recently ended my prescription for birth control. I didn’t want to but my insurance company had the OK from the ugly orange in office and now they’re charging around $72 for me to be on the pill... A MONTH! Ridiculous. Anyway- I am wondering what side effects happen after you stop taking the pill.

Besides not having a period yet (18 days late).... 
I’m happier. My sex drive is back. My skin is better/clear. I don’t have as many aches and pains now. No mood swings. 
I actually feel more like myself.

After getting off of birth control I got my sex drive back, I had clearer skin, and I lost 20 pounds.

It took about a year of mood swings, hormonal changes, breakouts, those sorts of things. I'm still not on BC, and it's been 5 years, although I'm looking at my options again.

I stopped being able to sleep and my depression and anxiety got worse, even though I'm on antidepressants. I spotted on and off for six weeks, finally got an actual period and have spent all of the last month bleeding while restarting my BC 🤦🏼‍♀️ you could look into places like Simple Health or Nurx and see about getting BC on the cheap if it's something you want to keep up with.

depends on the person. i had HORRIBLE breakouts for about 5 months but i didn’t notice anything other than that
