Baby gate on baby’s door?

So my daughter is 15 months and sleeping in her toddler bed in her room. But she recently learnt how to open doors and sometimes will wake up and wonder to the living room(while we are up) I have a hard time leaving her in room to sleep because I don’t want to close her door and don’t want her wondering during the night. Do I need to put a baby gate on her bedroom door? Anyone else do this? What about during the day isn’t the baby gate just annoying and in the way?

So, we just went straight to closing her door and putting a door lock on the door knob. I mean, she went from a crib to a whole room so I don’t feel bad about it. For some it works, but in your case, def put up a baby gate if your uncomfortable closing her door :)

We do as many others have said and close the door with a baby proof door handle. My main reason is for fire safety. Bedroom doors should be closed overnight.

We used a baby gate when we transitioned.our oldest to a twin bed. I put it at the end of our hallway so he couldn't wander around the house. He never tried though so we never had an issue.

Yep and I even have one on the play room door for when I need to get something done or some peace!

I have a baby gate on the inside of my sons room so he can't shut the door but if I moved it to the outside frame I'd still be able to close it. I keep it on the inside so he won't lock himself in there (he's done it in his playroom before and i had to break the doorknob because it wouldn't open)  its not in the way  his room is on the second floor and mine is now on the first (gave my room to my foster child so both are upstairs) i like to be able to hear if he wakes up and it keeps him from potentially falling down the stairs of course

We have a gate up in the hallway before the entryway to the living room so he only has access to his room and ours.

I have a baby gate on my daughters door and she’s just crawling right now. But she’s fast and I only close it when I leave the room for a second and don’t want her to follow me. During the day when shes not in there playing I just leave the gate open. Doesnt get in the way.

I did this for my first I put a baby gate up cause I didn’t want her door closed but she has now learned to climb over the gate so I have no other choice but to close her door but honestly closing the door has helped her sleep better at night 🤷🏼‍♀️
