Whiney 9 month old?

Anyone else have a whiney 9 month old? He just crawls around all day whining and I cannot leave the room or he loses it! Has his 9 month check up today and I’m going to have them check for an ear infection as well because he has been tugging his ears but is also teething. I read online it’s fairly common for this age to be kind of fussy because they are going through a lot of milestones. He is also not sleeping well at night anymore but that could also be due to a regression around this age. I’m so lost and feel so badly for him that he seems miserable sometimes. What else can I try? He does love to be outside!
