hCG levels?

I'm having a hard time understanding exactly how hCG levels should rise. My first blood test was 4440 and 48 hours after that was 4707. The nurse that called me said its not as high as they would like to see. Because of all the uncertainty im becoming super anxious and worried. This is my first pregnancy and we have had lots of trouble getting pregnant. Should I be worried?

Just like the other poster mentioned, they should be (roughly) doubling every 48 hrs.

Ideally, HCG levels should be doubling every 48-72 hours.. also, how far along are you? If you are closer to 8-9 weeks, the HCG levels start levelling off, but even then, the number is much higher than yours.. I hope you get some answers soon.

They typically look for a minimum rise of 60% in 48h (100% in 48h is the ideal)... so your second blood draw should have shown something close to 7000 or higher 😕 Sorry you’re going through this! Hopefully another blood draw will have more conclusive results.

You probably need more tests. You should not be alarmed yet, but hCG should be roughly doubling every 48 hours at the beginning of pregnancy up to about 8 weeks.
