Do boy babies need to be wiped after pee?

I’m a new boy mom and I have been told because urine is sterile and the diapers are so absorbable , there is no need to wipe baby boy after peeing.

The sterile-ness isn't really the concern, the problem is that urine has high levels of uric acid and nitrogen (among others) that can harm skin after contact for long periods of time

You should always clean them after they pee. Urine is acidic and it’ll definitely give them a rash or cause issues if you don’t clean them.

It doesn’t hurt to clean them regardless. I’d want a quick clean up after sitting in a hot diaper for hours 😂

I was told with both of my sons (especially if circumcised) you don’t have to bother wiping when they pee bc it does more harm then good. Hope this helps
