I’ve been bleeding for over 40 days

I got my Mirena IUD on the 12th of July. Two weeks later I started my period and it hasn’t stopped. It’s been heavy with clots and I’m starting to feel like I have no energy at all. My husband took a flight a few days ago to be with his family for a month and a half and I wanted some special time with him before he left, as y’all can see that couldn’t happen. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Oh and my OB doesn’t have any openings til the 24th so I don’t know what to do
