Best double stroller? Side-by-side or seats in a row?

We have car seats and a single seat stroller from Nuna and we’d love to go with Nuna Demi Grow, but the fact that the lower seat is so inconveniently design makes us wonder if there’s better ones out there. 
Do you prefer side by side or the other ones where seats are in a row?

Definitely in a row. I have the Graco duo modes and love it. My son is 3 and likes sitting in the seat still but eventually he’ll be to big so then it has the bench for him or he can stand.

Love my city select double stroller. We did in a row because side by side isn't as convenient in small spaces. I've had this stroller and used it as a single for 2 years and now a double for my 3.5 year old and 7 month old but will be using it for the new baby and our 7 month old come next year.

Tandem (in a row). I had a side by side and it was problematic in a lot of ways. Awkward carseat attachment, hard to fit through doors and narrow aisles, or when you do fit your toddler is close to the racks/shelves and grabs stuff, then the baby gets older and takes the toddler's toys and snacks and toddler screams....I liked it because it was lightweight and easier to fold, but logistically it had a lot of problems and I ended up with a tandem  (city select)

We have both, but I always take my mountain buggy if I'm bringing both kids. We also have a uppababy VISTA, but I hate how it is as a double. They are the same width, so doors are no problems.
