My birth story 10 months later ...

I would’ve done this sooner had I known this type of thing existed lol but here we go ...

My labor started after I had my week check up at 38 weeks. (Ya know ... that good ol swab 🥴🥴) .. however after this appointment I notice brown spotting the very next day. I reached out to my sister who is a PROFESSIONAL at having kids (she has 4 lol so I joke she knows everything .. of course she doesn’t tho lol)... she says it could irritation from being Checked. I pay no mind. THAT FREAKIN NIGHT MAN ... I wake up out a dead sleep.. I can not for the life of me lay on my back or right side (keep this detail in mind it comes back real soon ..) .. the pain is all in my back and legs. I can’t walk or really turn. It lasts for 2 mins.. but def seemed longer holy moly. I had 1 every hour for the next five hours So I’m thinkin alright.. this is the beginning.. in the next few hours I should be in the hospital right??... nope . Kid y’all not.. this nightly back pain continue for a week. Didn’t increase /decrease ..nothing. Just every night around 3am I was woken up

Side note:

I worked up until I gave birth. Very proud and blessed to be a woman whose pregnancy wasn’t as hard as others. So during the week I continued to work while at night was in pain .

Back to the story ,

Around 39 weeks and 4 days I stopped working I’m like alright I’ve had more than enough of these baby contractions I need to go home and get some real things rolling.

I buy all types of hot food, take the dogs on 20 min walks, in taking hot showers . I repeat all these things for two days... then comes the night of 39 weeks and 6 days... here’s where I knew I was in labor... I had a pain so strong I couldn’t move. It stopped me in my tracks.(I’d been pacing the floor at this time . My back was on FIRE from being in labor. ) I was FaceTiming my mom and she seen she said yup she’s coming tonight get ready. So ... I manage to take a shower..mid shower there’s a contraction..I’m screaming to my boyfriend what’s the time ... these contractions were still lasting for two mins but closer together .. every 20-30mins . I lay down for the night .. it’s 9pm . My boyfriends worked third shift .. I TOLD him.. I might need to go.. the pain is getting stronger . I couldn’t walk, lay down .. nothing y’all. What sealed the deal in all of this was I SCREAMED his name .. not in angry but in like help me ____ !! Lol like what the heck.. so we go to the hospital. Get checked in . They do an ultrasound and a cervix check.

Y’all ... by the time I went to the damn hospital i was 5cm dilated and 90% .. they said oh yea you’re staying lol. In that moment I felt proud like yayy I didn’t waste my time coming in here to be told nope you’re not far along ... but little did I know how labor would really be..

To make an even longer story short .. I spent the entire 9 hours I was in labor (...yes shirt and sweet right ?) .. being forced on my LEFT side because anytime I would be on my back or right baby girls heart rate would drop .... my baby was in distress and was waking me up every time to tell me momma roll over for the last week!! 😩😩😩 the doctor tells me ... if her heart rate drops ONE more time they’re doing a c section . I immediately cry and pray .. lord don’t Let them cut me.. an hour after that ...I’m told I’m ready to push .. I pushed for ANOTHER hour and 20 mins and dooodddiee was born lol. I had TWO rounds of epidural which slowed my labor... I felt everything on my right side due to laying solely on my left. I had an oxygen mask and really struggled with the “bear down “ part. Idk bout y’all but I can’t hold my breath, and push.. I kept breathing lol.. also I definitely pooped myself during labor 🤣🤣🤣

I have loved every second with my daughter . She’s my sweet sweet Rose Marie.
