Hes got a fair amount saved up, but acts like he hasnt, even with me.

Every penny seems to count to him. For example, some days I might get him something small from shop and buy it for him and honestly I'll forget I even did and just get it him to be nice. If he did that, he would want the money for it exactly.

He also seems very possessive of it. And pushes for me to pay for things, and help pay for things.

It's just weird as I'm not like it at all.
