Do you take your baby to the grocery store with you?

I was reading about how grocery stores are one of the riskiest places to go in terms of potential exposure to Coronavirus. Since our June babies can’t wear masks yet, I was wondering if you mamas take your babies to the store with you or opt for grocery pick up/delivery instead. Just a worried FTM here...

Yes! I have since the beginning. I also go to work and so does my husband, she goes to nursery, she goes to grandparents houses and one of my older children has been to school so we’ve been exposed to lots of different people all the way through and we’ve all been fine 😊
I started taking her at the beginning because I was worried about her having no social interaction so I thought it would be good for her to see some different faces! I always have her in her pram and I usually put the rain cover over just for extra protection! Obviously I don’t let her touch anything, but I like to take her and I like it when she gets smiles and waves from the other shoppers (the masks don’t bother her). I’m trying to give her as normal a life as possible! I don’t take my older children though as they can’t social distance properly and they can’t stop touching everything! 🙄

This may be an unpopular opinion here but I always take LO everywhere. I just make sure she doesn’t touch anything and she washes her hands. Same goes for us. My theory is, if I contracted coronavirus from the grocery store and I go home..my baby will also contract it from me. It makes no sense to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah! Lilah goes everywhere with me because I’m a sahm. We use our cart cover and she doesn’t touch anything. It works great for us.

Her doctor said it's actually good for her to get out and build her immune system. But I have always taken her with me 😊

Nope. I know not everyone can leave their kids at home so since I can, I do. My husband might be leaving for work for a few months, and in that case I’ll do delivery, or take her to an outdoor farmers market if I need produce between deliveries (girl is eating her weight in berries, I can’t keep up 🤪). But yeah grocery stores are high risk places for infection, best if we all limit our time in them!

I do...but i actually think I'm starting to feel safer out now. In the uk everyone (that can) has to wear a mask and (other than the few arseholes) everyone social distances...the carts are sanitised as you take them in so she goes in it after...we then sanitise hands and my eldest knows to stay close and sometimes she wears a mask 🤷🏼‍♀️ I feel this is our new normal for a long time so we are just rollin with it now 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t bring my kids to the store. I go when my husband is home or he picks things up on his way home from work. I’ll also do Target pick-up if I absolutely need something and have to bring my kids with me. It’s also a little bit of a “break” for me to go grocery shopping by myself as I’m working from home 100% right now and around my kids 24/7. I completely understand the need to bring your kids grocery shopping and know my situation isn’t a luxury everyone has available to them. I do need to bring my 4 year old shoe shopping and that is hard to do without her with me...then I can avoid returns. For my family, it’s important that we limit our exposure as my oldest and myself are high-risk.

Nope 🙅🏽‍♀️ and I don’t plan on doing it any time soon. The most public place I’ve taken her to since the pandemic started was the dentist and her doctors office.

No, I use instacart for groceries. If I have to run an errand and my husband isn’t home to watch the kids, I have a grocery cart cover I use that covers the bar and everything. Then I wash it when we get home.

I really try not to but I'm a single mom and sometimes the pick up is backed up for days and I can't get a baby sitter so occasionally he comes into the store with me
