Seen maternal fetal and discuss putting me on progesterone shots and today I seen a different midwife and she told me the shots aren’t effective and my insurance won’t even cover. Is this true?? I’m not getting extra care for my pregnancy or visits and I’m getting freaked out that I will loose this baby again

Instead of shots we used a pill that you insert vaginally. Not to expensive, but if it’s not covered you can also look into supplements from your health store. 
Progesterone is “not proven to prevent miscarriage” but it won’t hurt either. But if you low progesterone it can help. 
I had 3 miscarriages all around 6 weeks and this time we used it and now I’m 18 weeks. It isn’t a magic pill but if it can’t hurt why not?

I’m starting my progesterone shots next week to prevent preterm labor because I had my daughter at 34 weeks. I have also had 4 miscarriages but they didn’t recommend early progesterone because it wouldn’t prevent miscarriage, just preterm birth.
