Plan B HELP

Can you take plan B on your first day of your period? Had unprotected sex and took the plan B after an hour. Supposed to get my period in 18 days....feeling nauseas yesterday and today and threw up a lot yesterday....is this a sign or? Did not ovulate while taking the plan B!
