Apparently vulvar tears are normal...during child birth. I have never given birth but I still had a cut on the perineum. My doctor gave me estrogen cream for it. Recently I’ve had intense vulvar itching. When I itch it it just gets worse so I try to put warm water on it until it soothes and the itching goes away. However after one itching session I decided to take a look at her with a mirror. I was very shocked to see that on the right side it looks like my labia minora and majora were cut apart. It’s a very deep cut but there’s no bleeding or scarring. I definitely don’t itch that much in one particular spot to cut it like that myself. The left side still looks normal and more attached. It’s quite a drastic difference so I don’t think this can be considered normal. I’m seeing my doctor this Monday but I’m traveling this weekend and the itching and not knowing what’s going on is going to drive me crazy. Any ideas on what could be causing this? And any home remedies to help with the itching? It isn’t a yeast infection or STI or anything. I’m having a pretty bad eczema flare up so I’m wondering if it could be that but I don’t think that would cause that cut.
