Spotting?

Sasha

Hi. I’ve never had an issue with my menstrual cycle. It comes every 28 days with little to no symptoms and last about 4- 5 days.

I am now 31 years old. This past January I skipped a month or two and thought I was pregnant, however I would spot every time I go to the bathroom. This is not normal and quite concerning.

I thought to myself that maybe it was just due to stress and because of the fact that all my friends were sharing their positive pregnancy stories.

Fast forward to April— still not pregnant, period resumed as normal, however I’m still spotting and this only happens when I use the bathroom.

I’ve went to my OBGYN and we’ve done a plethora of tests. Nothing out of the norm, just my bladder is irritated causing the bleeding or so they say. I’ve even done an entire cat scan to make sure there’s no unusual growth of some sort or anything cancerous.

It is now August. I’m not pregnant (didn’t really try until April) and still spotting. I feel defeated.

I will add that I did gain a lot of weight quickly in the past year. Unfortunately, I went from 135 to 220 due to my poor eating habit and the lack of exercise.

I suppose this might have something to do with my spotting or decreases my chance of pregnancy.

I did do the 28 day progesterone test, to which it showed my progesterone levels to be at a 5, when it should be around a 10– but I did read those test aren’t as reliable.

I don’t have PCOS and am in remission with hyperthyroidism (blood levels have remained normal for 7 years now).

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with me and I do feel very much alone. My friends are all due soon and at times I just feel like it’s my fault that I can’t get pregnant as easy as them.

Anyone else gone through a similar situation? Or can give some tips? I am working on losing weight as I’ve always weighed around 135/140.

Love and light! ❤️
