Anyone requiring family/visitors to get covid test?

I am just curious as to whether people are asking family to take covid test before visiting? My husband wants my mom to get a test done before she comes down to help when our third is born (due 8/20).

No but they do need to quarantine for 14 days before meeting our son. So far people have been receptive to that.

We aren't having visitors for at least 2 months, which was the recommendation of our new pediatrician. My husband's sister died at 1 month old because of a bug she got from a visitor, so we are taking it very seriously. And that was long before we had covid! Our family is not able to fully quarantine (for a number of different reasons), and I don't trust the tests if they can't quarantine.

My mom works in a hospital and she’s tested regularly so I’ll be happy with her coming to visit.

My parents are quarantining for 2 weeks, the tests are so inaccurate I don’t trust them anyways. And if they take the test but aren’t quarantining they could still pick up the virus before they come over...just my thoughts on it
